NC: His mother,Anna Jane Craddock born in GA.Ìý Grandparents:Ìý James Skipper & Patsy Carter married /category/research/1-/category/research/1823 Cumberland Co NC And William and Charlotte Simpler Craddock married /category/research/1-25-/category/research/1825 Georgia.Ìý James Madison Skipper & Anna Jane Craddock married 3-/category/research/1/category/research/1-/category/research/1847 in Henry Co.AL. Their first child, Mary Jane Skipper 2-/category/research/1848: 2nd William James Madison ( Wm J.M / WJM) Skipper 8-/category/research/12-/category/research/1849. I know what happens after they are born.

Another estate the children are heirs to is that of James Carter, which would be their great grandfather? PatsyR/category/research/17;s father? Patsy Carter, R/category/research/16;North Carolina, Marriages, /category/research/1759-/category/research/1979R/category/research/17; 2nd child, my 2nd great grandfather: W. J. M. (William James Madison) Skipper and Martha A. Lucas, were married 02 Feb /category/research/187/category/research/1 in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Alabama. They began their family in Alabama but moved to Overton Rusk Co Texas between /category/research/1873-/category/research/1877.

Six Children were born /category/research/1878-/category/research/1888 before the Skippers moved to Ringgold, Bienville Parish La. Last two children were born /category/research/1889 and /category/research/1892 in Louisiana. I know very little about Martha Ann Lucas except the name William Lucas born /category/research/18/category/research/13 South Carolina and Handy ?? born about /category/research/18/category/research/15 in Georgia. I would love to know about Martha Ann LucasR/category/research/17;s family, my 3rd great grandparents.

James Madison Skipper b. Cumberland NC /category/research/1824-/category/research/1849 in Alabama to James Skipper and Patsy Carter d/o James Carter. It appears the Skipper family left NC and landed in Henry and B. County alabama where He married Anna Jane Craddock /category/research/1847. Their first child was Mary Jane Skipper 2-/category/research/1848 (married Stephen D. Jernigan..moved to Texas and is buried there). Second child was William James Madison Skipper 8-/category/research/12-/category/research/1849 (my gg grandfather) married Martha Ann Lucas 2-/category/research/187/category/research/1 in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Alabama. Moved to Texas after /category/research/1874 then to Bienville Parish La. where they are buried.

I am trying to determine

1. EXACTLY who( which James) his parents were Dates of Birth and Death. I know for certain James Skipper married Patsy Carter and these are his parents BUT… Which James Skipper and what happened to him and Patsy.
2. His brothers and sisters
3. His father-in-law, William Craddock and Thomas are administrators of his estate and care of the children.
4. Patsy CarterR/category/research/17;s father was James. I know he fought in the civil war as did many James Skippers.
